Volunteering
Mayo Clinic Health System - Home Health & Hospice is always in need of volunteers. Please go to the Volunteers page to learn about the many opportunities we have.
Donations
We also accept donations . The cost of care, especially for hospice, often exceeds the reimbursement we receive. Therefore, we rely on the generosity of individuals and groups within the community who contribute funds through donations, memorials and events.
Some of the funds are used in the following ways: community educational programs; uncompensated care for those underinsured or uninsured; the bereavement program for loved ones of a deceased patient; remembrance services for families and staff; quarterly newsletters to families and businesses; and, a loan closet of items (CDs, books, tapes) for use by patients in their homes.
If you have made an error in making your donation, please call 715-831-0100 or send an email to schmiedeskamp.kathy@mayo.edu. Refunds are returned via a check mailed to your home address.
